Add Value to Your Web Presence

There is so much internet competition, every internet commerce site needs to make sure it stands out from the competition. One way to stand out from the competition is to transform yourself into an expert. If you can provide free information that teaches your customers how to do something they want to do or give them some little known facts about the industry in which you conduct your business, then you can build up credibility. Offering your customers a free e-book can give you the credibility of an expert, give your customers the feeling of value in your website and introduce a viral marketing tool for your website.

Rachel Ray, Dr. Phil and Suze Orman would have never gotten as much television time nor would they have ever been given so much television coverage if they hadn’t first established themselves as experts. You don’t have to convince an entire industry, a television producer, or a mutli-billion dollar media conglomerate that you know your industry. You have to convince each visitor, one on one, to your site. Much easier than trying to convince the whole world that you know what you’re doing.

Who doesn’t like FREE gifts? As a business that is not quite established online, it’s often necessary to give something away for free in order to get new customers. Retail businesses do it all the time to get business. Buy 1 get 1 free. Buy 1 get half off the second purchase. Buy 3 (or more) and get the third purchase free. The perceived value of purchasing from this retailer entices customers to buy.

The internet is getting as clutter with advertisements as the real world. Just as you can drive down the interstate without being bombarded with tons of advertisements, you can surf the “information super highway” without getting clubbed over the head at every new website with advertisements. Unfortunately, web surfers can start to get desensitized to your ads. Buy creating something that your site visitors are willing to pass on to friends and families gets you in front of more people who are actually paying attention to your materials. Someone they trust inadvertently endorses you.

RECAP: Offering your customers a free e-book can give you the credibility of an expert, give your customers the feeling of value in your website and introduce a viral marketing tool for your website.

5 Essential Ingredients of a Successful Online Work at Home Business

The internet changes daily as far as what works and what doesn't when it comes to making money online. If you are new to work at home online businesses, your head can spin with all the hype, sales pitches , and outright lies as far as the reality of starting up an online home based business.

There are however a few things to look for in your search for a work at home business that can become some nice additional income, or even better, your "job". Working at home, generating $1000 a day is far from what I call a "job". To help ease your frustration, and point you in the right direction for what you should be looking for in today's online marketplace, the following summarizes the 5 essential ingredients in a winning work at home online business opportunity.

Later in this brief overview, I will offer a "secret" to online success that is rarely mentioned in the many articles written on the subject.

1. SYSTEM- This may be the most crucial item to your success. You need a System that generates prospects, educates them on your business opportunity, sorts and weeds out those that are not interested in your offer, then closes the sale at a conversion rate that ensures profitability. The System must be as automated as possible so you aren't spending hours cold calling or following up with people that are probably not interested, then trying to use your sales closing skills to make a sale. Think of the successful off line businesses such as McDonalds, Tim Hortons or Subway. Do you think they could duplicate those businesses all over the country, setting up new franchise owners to run these businesses, without a SYSTEM that works?

2. BIG Profits- This is important as the advertising needed to result in sales can be quite costly. For some $1000 price point business programs, it isn't unusual to spend $200, $400 or even $600 to make that $1000 sale. Of course, there are ways to also spend $0 in advertising, but the reality is advertising is often on the range where to make $1, you may need to spend $0.40. Your profit is still $0.60. Would you do that over and over if you had a automated system in place to make this happen? Big Profits allows enough profit so your advertising cost is well covered by your selling price. You can't do much advertising to make a profit on selling a $20 ebook for example.

3. Hot Products- Yes, the product must be tangible and have use and value. There are many new business opportunities that offer $75,000 or more worth of downloadable products that sell for $1000. That's pretty HOT, and full of value. Having a product that can be downloaded, means NO shipping. Now that is just way too easy.

4. Leads and Traffic- This is probably the most perplexing for most new work at home business owners. An online business will never make any money without a source of leads (prospects). The key to providing leads to an online business is they need to be targeted. This means you need to advertise to a niche market of people looking for exactly what your offers. Seems so simple a concept, but so may people struggle in building their prospect list.

5. Support and Training- as with any business start up, you need to learn your work at home online business program.Make sure that your business program has ample training and resources so you know exactly what to do to get those prospects to your System. This is not always easy to figure out when doing your due diligence on an offer. As a suggestion, make sure you ask for examples of where and how you will advertise. Also ask where will you get the wording for the ads,who will write the ad copy and the followup messages, what the conversion rates are for your system. If your sponsor can't provide good answers, then they may not be that successful themselves. This is just a brief overview of what today's online business programs need to cut through the many offers out there and make your business stand out to others.

Earlier I mentioned I'd offer a "secret" to successful online work at home business programs that is rarely mentioned in the various sales pitches. The true secret just might be you. Most people do not realize they are starting up a real business. There will be ups and downs, profitability may not come overnight, or you may expect riches in the first few days. I am sure some people have had such success, but most starting out, very likely start with leads, no prior list of prospects, and a small advertising budget. You then need to make good decisions to leverage your sales to grow your business.

The best way to accomplish an online business start up is with the very best automated SYSTEM. Then you can spend most of your time on advertising and growing your prospect list- leaving the rest to the system to close sales which will deliver you paying customers. Then you can train your new customers to do what you know how to do! For more information on automated systems, please take a look at our main business review website. To your success!

Converting Web Traffic Into Sales

I’m a net shopping junky and an impulse buyer. If you’ve never seen my credit card information pass through your shopping cart, it’s because the words on your web page didn’t push the buttons to my impulse buying switch.

If you’re not using a virtual tour or a commercial on your site, then your selling has to be done with the words that you use. Even with those devices, you still have to use words to sell your products and services. After the traffic gets to your site, it may not be primed or pre-qualified for the sale, depending on how you got them there, so you have to turn the key to their buying ignition.

-----------------------------------

Bash Me Over the Head and Ignore My Future Potential

You already know what turns off the average consumer. You are a consumer yourself. All day long, you’re bombarded with advertisements.
•Buy me
•Don’t buy from them
•My product instantly transforms frogs into Princes
•Buy this and woman will swarm you
•Shrink your waist line immediately by purchasing
our amazing product
•Become a millionaire while you sleep

How many times have you heard, read, or watched promises like these acted out? 90% of it, we block out.

----------------------------------

Here’s the deal. Traffic that passes through your site is doing the same thing you do to escape advertising hail – running for cover. Ducking and dodging your harsh sales attempts your harsh sales attempts primes them for the next sight they visit that coily gives substantial information, not just features. I believe in the ABC’s of sales, Always Be Closing, but it shouldn’t be translated as Aim Bash Capture. Pain hurts. We consumers hate blatant advertising, right? It's painful

Recognizing the garbage is the first step to changing your website and marketing materials into words and phrases that convert sales.

-----------------------------------

My old copy assumed you already knew what you wanted and you were ready to do business when you came to my site. Instead, I decided I can tell you how to do a bunch of stuff. You can do it own your own. When you decided your time is better spent on focusing on the day-to-day business then you can hand the marketing writing tasks to a professional whose business is to take his time on the tedious details.

Your copy also assumes I came to your site to buy. I didn’t. Hard sell still works, but it's important to know if your audience is already primed for the sale pitch. I’m just surfing. The world wide web is still the “information superhighway.” I might be price shopping or just finding out what everyone else is buying so I can go pick up the right items from a traditional retail outlet. Fortunate for the offline retailers, but unfortunate for you.

Give me something. Know What I want. Provide It and then some.

Now, you have to sit back and think. Think about what triggers you to pull out your wallet. Sometimes silly jingles work to get a campaign’s name or slogan stuck in your brain. Yeah, you can add a jingle to your website home page, but jingles no longer convert sales like they did fifty years ago. You hear three to five during every commercial break of your favorite television show alone. A large portion of net surfers, search the net while they are at work. The volume is usually off. At home, they turn off the volume to listen to music or television. Its back to convincing them with your words.

You ever bought something online and as soon as you completed the transaction a screen comes up thanking you for your purchase and politely asking you to fill out a survey? I hate those things, but I fill them out every time. From there, the company has my email address, name, and likes and dislikes. When they solicit me in the future by email, they will know how to target me for future sales. They haven’t ignored me as a future prospect. I’m much more reliable than new customers because they know they have things that I want.

Polling is a no-brainer. It’s so simplistic that it might have never crossed your mind. Now you know and now you can do it. Polling also works for that traffic that never buys anything. Poll them on your home page to find out what they want and why they’re not buying it. Saab polled me after I visited their online site and filled out a questionnaire. I received another in the mail a few days later and they knew from there exactly how to sell me on my next car purchase.

Saab also sent me tons of material on the cars I wanted. It was useless free information that I could have read online, but it felt different being addressed to me, professionally crafted, and the company having taken the extra effort to give me something to have even though I hadn’t made a purchase yet. I know better and I was still sucked in by the marketing tactics. Give something free. It’s been said that sex sells, but information sells just as well. The information also gets them to come back multiple times. You already know that it takes five or more contacts before the average customer will buy from you.

Once I’ve made the purchase, you can’t let it go at that. Don’t harass me with tons of emails, but send me something regularly to remind me that you’re still there. Keep providing me with wonderful information and updates. Remember, it needs to read like information, not a sales pitch.
